### The salt spray test according to DIN EN ISO 9227

In a salt spray test, the samples to be tested are subjected to, among other things **Sodium chloride fog atmosphere** at an elevated temperature. This process simulates the exposure of the test specimens to corrosive oxidising media in fast motion. Other spray solutions such as **Acetic acid (AASS)** or **Copper chloride (CASS)** can be used.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned salt spray test can be combined with other test methods. This results in alternating corrosion tests with cyclical sequences and controlled temperature and humidity. Below you will find a selection of examples:
