Greyscale charts
Greyscale charts have six stripes on a white field, ranging from very light grey to black. The stripes are numbered from 1 to 6, representing uniform levels of increasing contrast. The opacity of the applied coating is rated as the number of the darkest stripe that is completely (or almost completely) obscured at a given thickness or application rate.
