TQC Sheen Grindometers are precision instruments for determining the particle size and fineness of many materials such as paints, varnishes, pigments, fillers, chocolate, etc.

What is a grinding fineness test?

Testing the degree of grinding is essential for colour manufacturers. Many end users who check the content of their product ingredients during the production process also rely on this method. It is a simple but effective method to measure the uniformity of the particles contained using a grindometer.

Our grindometers are available in three models: with a single, double or wide groove. Depending on the model selected, there are three different parameters: Micrometer (µm), Hegman (NS) and North (PCU).

• Double grooves with graduated inclinations are graduated in various parameters: Micrometre (µm) , Hegman (NS) and North (PCU)
• Single wide groove with the parameters: Micrometre (µm) , Hegman (NS)
• Single groove with the parameters: Micrometre (µm)
