The DAT measures the contact angle (dynamic and static), surface tension, penetration, surface energy and spread. The device utilises a sophisticated camera to capture the fall/shape of the droplet, the shape on the sample and finally the penetration. The pump and the camera work closely together. This is important to ensure that the correct amount of liquid is present and that each test starts at the same time.

The device utilises a sophisticated camera to capture the fall/shape of the droplet, the shape on the sample and finally the penetration. The pump and the camera work closely together. This is crucial to ensure that the correct amount of liquid is available and that each test starts at the same time.

- High-speed camera - The high-speed camera captures 100 images per second. This large amount of information is quickly analysed by the software and displayed on the PC.
- Consistent measurement - The high-speed camera is directly connected to the automatic drop applicator. This ensures that every drop is captured in the same way.
- Pump system - The pump system enables the use of liquids with a higher viscosity. The accuracy of the drop applicator is 1 µl.
- Various test methods - The DAT PC software has several test methods. In addition to contact angle and surface energy, various surface tension calculations are available.
- Block/Strip Feed - Block Feed: a block with the sample is inserted into the device.
Strip feed: A paper roll is inserted into the device. - Automatic drop applicator - The sample is automatically moved between each drop until the desired number of drops has been measured.
