Made from grade A1 birch plywood sanded on both sides, 6.35 mm (0.25 inch). 100 mm square with a 6.35 mm centre hole. - Aluminium (S-18)
Made from 19-gauge aluminium (5052). 100 mm square with rounded corners and a 6.35 mm centre hole. - Glass (S-31)
High-quality flat glass, approx. 3.15 mm thick. 100 mm square with a 6.35 mm centre hole.

Two standardisation plates are offered which are used to determine the abrasion properties of certain Taber abrasives. These include:
- Zinc (S-34)
Rolled zinc sheet with a thickness of approx. 0.8 mm. Used to check the wear rate of sandpaper strips such as S-42. Note that the S-34 zinc sheet should not be used for more than 10 calibrations per side. 100 mm square with a 6.35 mm centre hole. - Plexiglass (S-38)
Moulded acrylic glass for evaluating the abrasion properties of the material used with the Taber Grit Feeder Attachment sand used. 100 mm square with a 6.35 mm centre hole and protective film on both sides.
