This applicator was originally designed for scrub tests with latex paints on a 16.5 x 43.2 cm (6-1/2 x 17 inch) glass surface, where a 0.09 mm (3-1/2 mil) thick test coat is applied over a 0.13 mm (5 mil) thick primer.
This applicator was originally developed for Abrasion tests with latex paints on a 16.5 x 43.2 cm (6-1/2 x 17 inch) large Glass surface developed in which a 0.09 mm (3-1/2 mil) Thick test layer over a 0.13 mm (5 mil) thick primer is applied.
Although the use of primed glass in tests of this type has been largely discontinued, the Applicator still for its individual distances used.
