Conical mandrel bending tester Basic

The TQC Conical Mandrel Bend Tester "Basic" is a simplified version of the TQC Conical Mandrel Bend Tester "Pro" (SP1830). It is a laboratory device for bending coated test panels over a conically shaped mandrel to assess the elasticity or resistance of a coating, paint or lacquer to cracking, elongation and/or delamination from a metal test panel in accordance with ISO 6860 and ASTM D522. The conical shape of the bending area allows the test panel to be deformed and the elasticity range of a coating to be tested over any diameter between 3.1 and 38 mm in a single test. The sample plate is fixed with two clamping knobs, which must be tightened or loosened by turning clockwise or anti-clockwise.
