Assessment of flood and water damage
Moisture analysers and test kits for the investigation and restoration of water damage
Investigation of the water damage and monitoring of the drying process
The main objective of moisture detection in the water damage restoration industry is to identify and assess the extent and damage caused by unusually wet or damp areas in building structures so that the Drying progress measured, monitored and documented and the materials can be restored. To restore the pre-incident condition, all building materials must be thoroughly inspected before, during and after the drying process. This ensures that the drying parameters are maintained throughout the drying phases until the drying target is reached at the end of the restoration process. |
How to assess water damage with moisture analysers
Moisture meters are essential tools for assessing water damage, allowing drying engineers to determine the extent of moisture ingress and localise its source. This is particularly useful for Leaks or burst pipes. The best moisture and humidity meters provide instant and accurate readings for the Moisture content of various materialsincluding concrete, wood and other building materials. These moisture readings play a crucial role in determining the necessary steps to limit damage. The results of the humidity measurements can be saved and displayed with colour-coded Moisture maps can be visualised. These maps help to identify patterns in moisture content, highlight problem areas and localise potential sources of water ingress. By measuring at different stages of the drying process, the moisture maps provide a visual representation of the drying process. In addition, the measured values can be saved in reports and easily shared with others. |

Tramex water damage restoration moisture meters and humidity sensors
The Tramex range of humidity meters and thermal hygrometer data loggers is the best in its class, offering a Unrivalled repeatability and accuracythat technicians can rely on at every stage of the water damage restoration process. Tramex is unique in the production of a complete range of calibration equipment for each of our measuring devices. This ensures constant calibration and gives technicians the certainty that the measuring devices are working accurately. Our range of water damage restoration kits offers a wide selection of inspection and assessment solutions specifically designed for the different stages of moisture detection required. |
MEX5 - The best moisture analyser for building moisture testing
The Moisture Encounter MEX5 is the most versatile moisture analyser for professionals in the water damage restoration industry. The MEX5 is a Non-destructive moisture analyser with Two measuring rangeswhich is calibrated for measuring moisture in various building materials. It is the digital and extended version of the proven ME5. The MEX5 has a Built-in hygrometer and a Infrared surface thermometer for the determination of dew point problems and has a Connection for optional external pen-based and RH probes. These functions make the MEX5 a great All-in-one device for carrying out moisture measurements on most building materials and in deeper areas of building structures. The moisture readings can be stored in moisture maps for monitoring and reporting. |

The Moisture Encounter ME5 is the analogue version of the MEX5 and an extremely useful moisture meter for anyone investigating moisture in buildings. This non-destructive moisture meter detects moisture in walls, floors, ceilings and roofs without damaging the surface material. With the ME5, large areas can be measured in a short time. The Dual depth function helps to localise the moisture in the material through the Comparison of surface and core moisture. The measuring range can be adapted to the density of the material, with pre-calibrated settings for wood (MC%), drywall, roof plaster, tiles and masonry. The ME5 works with the Tramex Meters app to store moisture readings in moisture maps for monitoring and reporting. |

This accessory can be used with the Moisture Encounter MEX5 and the Concrete Moisture Encounter CMEX5 can be used. The ambient humidity probes can also be used with the DL-RHTX feedback data logger for recording over a longer period of time. |
Moisture test kits for water damage restoration specialists
It is vital to have all the necessary tools and measuring equipment to carry out a thorough moisture survey. As a leading moisture measurement company with extensive experience in the water damage restoration industry, Tramex Water damage restoration kits which contain the essential moisture measurement tools for specific test methods during the drying process. These kits offer a combination of instant, non-destructive testing of floors, walls and ceilings together with instruments that can measure moisture and relative humidity in building structures through small punctures in the surface material. The measured values provide a clear picture of the moisture and relative humidity behind and inside building structures and floors without significantly affecting the outer layer. The readings can be displayed in humidity graphs and saved in reports to share with others. Choose your kit according to the test methods you require. |

Digital remote monitoring of drying conditions

It is important to monitor the drying conditions to ensure that progress is being made and that the required "drying parameters" are efficiently controlled and maintained. The environmental conditions Temperature, relative humidity, gr/lb & g/kg and dew point can be monitored both locally and remotely. Tramex Feedback Datalogger, DL-RHTA and DL-RHTXand the Tramex Meters App enable on-site data acquisition of ambient and in-situ temperature, relative humidity, g/kg and dew point. The data is Wireless via Bluetooth BLE technology on site to the Tramex Meters app on your mobile device. The app allows you to visualise live measurements, thermal conditions and psychrometric diagrams, as well as create and export tables, diagrams and reports. Remote monitoring is possible with the Tramex Remote Environmental Monitoring System (TREMS) and its secure online system Tramex Cloud possible. |

In a TREMS project Multiple cloud sensors can be used, depending on how many measuring ranges need to be monitored. The on-site cloud sensors transmit relative humidity, temperature, dew point and humidity ratio g/lb & g/kg wirelessly via the Tramex Cloud Station. In your Tramex Cloud account, all collected data can be displayed remotely as files and in visual diagrams or graphs and compiled into reports. With TREMS, if the measured values are outside of the defined parameters, the data can be analysed, warning messages can be set upso that immediate action can be taken if necessary. With TREMS on your project, technicians and decision makers can determine whether a visit is required to measure the standard values and confirm the construction work, or whether further drying is required. |
