The salt spray test according to DIN EN ISO 9227
In a salt spray test, the samples to be tested are subjected to, among other things Sodium chloride fog atmosphere at an elevated temperature. This process simulates the exposure of the test specimens to corrosive oxidising media in fast motion. Other spray solutions such as Acetic acid (AASS) or Copper chloride (CASS) can be used.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned salt spray test can be combined with other test methods. This results in alternating corrosion tests with cyclical sequences and controlled temperature and humidity. Below you will find a selection of examples:
